Years of experience partnering with schools, educational institutions and start-ups, has taught us that the key to successful operation of a business is talent. It is critical to the success of any business venture that every member of its team is highly skilled, well trained and motivated for the success of the company. This requirement for talent is not limited to management level team members.
ACFED CPD ( Continual professional Development ) programs have enabled us to become a leading talent placement platform to serve both our members and our clients through a suite of products and services. Our Online Third Party Talent Verification System is a non-profit program which has been successfully helping our members to prove their abilities, connect them into the professional network, and develop the suitable career path; for our clients the system has been beneficial to hire talent at every level within their organization, finding the right team member with verified skills and abilities suitable to the goals of its team, reduces costs and speeds productivity.
We’re often contacted by school leaders who are aware of problems within their schools, but don’t have the know-how and experience to come up with solutions. That’s where ACFED comes in. Our team of expert auditors can perform teacher observations, inspect business models and forecasts, and evaluate marketing schemes. We then recommend or personally deliver the solutions you need – whether they be training, business consulting, or academic support.
ACFED also provides consulting for organizations looking to open their own schools – we can help you review your assets, measure your challenges, and lend our experience to help you every step of the way.
Have a great idea for a class, but don't have the human resources or time to make that dream a reality? You can "borrow" our expert team!
ACFED developers will work together with you to understand your needs and fulfill your development needs, including: developing a curriculum scope and sequence, lesson plans, and even classroom materials.
We at ACFED understand that the global ESL job market is increasingly competitive. Additional certifications above and beyond TESOL will make your resume stand out with employers, and put you and edge above the rest in class. That’s why we've developed a variety of Continuing Professional Development courses aimed at improving specific aspects of ESL teaching ability, covering everything from specialized English pronunciation training to classroom management skills.
The American Center for Educational Development has developed a comprehensive training program to train teachers of ESL to exceed international standards of ESL teaching. Our program gives teachers a foundational knowledge of theories pertinent to teaching ESL: multiple intelligence theory, Bloom’s cognitive taxonomy, the latest SLA research, curriculum and lesson planning, and a variety of teaching methodologies.
In addition, it equips teachers with practical tools they can use in the classroom, including areas such as: drilling and pronunciation, classroom management and discipline, teaching the four skills, creating and using classroom activities, and much more.
In order to meet the demands of the ever-changing global ESL market, ACFED has developed a range of courses designed to improve a variety of aspects of English communicative ability.
Subject English: This content-based course will enrich your knowledge of geography, science, mathematics, literature, art, and music, while simultaneously improving your English. You’ll also experience the American classroom, including the classroom environment, focus on curiosity, participation, argumentation, and personal attention.
Survival English: At ACFED, we realize that simply acquiring test-taking strategies and basic language skills is not enough to make your time living abroad a comfortable and fulfilling experience. For this reason, we've developed a course to make you just as knowledgeable of your destination’s culture as its language. This course course will walk you through a range of everyday situations, from opening a bank account to ordering food at a restaurant.
